Welcome friend, i am Mikaila Peña,
the one behind the lens.

I’m a local photographer who has proudly called this area home for over 10 years. This community is truly where my story is rooted, and it’s also where I met my husband while he was stationed at Whiteman Air Force Base. From that chapter of my life, we built a beautiful family together and now share two amazing children—a little girl and a little boy—who are my entire world.

They are also the reason my photography journey began. When I had my daughter, I realized how quickly time moves and how important it is to preserve every milestone, every holiday, and every fleeting moment that makes up family life. That’s when I picked up a camera with the simple intention of documenting her childhood, but it quickly grew into something much deeper. I fell in love with the art of capturing genuine, emotional moments—the kind you can feel every time you look back at them.
